Vaccine planner

Your child's vaccines, with the dates

Enter a date of birth to see the full South African public schedule from birth to 12 years, with the date each dose is due. Add reminders to your phone's calendar so nothing slips by.

Worked out on your device. Nothing you type here is sent or saved.

Optional vaccines

Not on the public schedule, but available here. Your doctor can help you decide which make sense for your child.

From 12 months, second dose later in childhood

  • Hepatitis A

    Two doses, from 12 months

  • Measles, mumps and rubella (MMR)

Adds mumps protection, from 12 months

  • Meningococcal

From 9 months, depending on the vaccine

  • Flu

    Every autumn, from 6 months

Where this comes from

The planner follows the National Department of Health's Expanded Programme on Immunisation schedule as it stands in 2026, including the measles and rubella vaccine introduced in 2024. Your child's Road to Health booklet is the record of what has been given.
